Real English IDIOMS
An idiom should NOT be translated as idioma in Spanish, it is a false friend. An idiom is a widely used phrase which taken as a whole has a meaning that is impossible to deduce from the meanings of the individual words.
An example of idiom is the name of this website hit the road, but there are thousands of them. You may have heard the following expressions: “this is a piece of cake”, “it costs an arm and a leg” or “break a leg!”
1. Here you have some idioms related to travel. Try to guess their meaning, use a dictionary to check and then think of real life situations where you could use them.
