SESSION 1:
GAP FILLERS
In the Speaking Test you will be assessed on your ability to communicate ideas fluently. For that reason, we should avoid using fillers such as, “err” and “um” as they don’t have any real meaning (other than you can’t think what to say!). Instead, try using these fillers:
That’s a very interesting question... / Well, there are many different opinions... / I’d never really given a lot of thought, however... / Let me think about that one...
More examples:
1. Watch the video and follow the tips:
Which are the four tips he gives?

2. Give a brief answer to the following questions using a gap filler from the list above. The first is already done for you.
1. How do you think transport will develop in the future?
Example: That’s a very interesting question. Although transport has developed a lot over the last few decades, I think that flights will eventually become more expensive due to the lack of oil and other natural resources. I suppose you never know, maybe we’ll be teleporting soon!
Now, it is your turn!
2. Why do you think people enjoy watching TV shows? _________________________________________________________________________

SPEAKING TEST
Watch this video to know more about B2 Speaking Test. It shows the structure of the Cambridge exam:
PART 2: ROLE PLAY (LanguageCert)
Part 2 will last 3 minutes. In Part A you will have to respond to answers you will be asked by the interlocutor. In Part B you will start a short conversation depending on the situation you are given.
PART 3: DISCUSSION (LanguageCert)
In the real exam you will have a real interlocutor. Now, you will have to play both roles, so make a little dialogue between two friends about the information in the notice.
SESSION 3:
THE USA
Two weeks ago, Diego started a presentation on the United States, its regions, landscapes and remarkable features. Between this week and next week for some of you, you will be presented the second part which deals with Midwestern and Eastern States.
Remember you will have to choose one of the States and give a 3-5' voice-added presentation like the one I added below. It is not the best example because it's got too much text on it, you'd better add interesting pictures, but it's a good example of how to add voice to your presentations:
This project is mandatory and will be taken into account in the 20% of the mark related to Work.
Deadline: 11 June
