WELSH IS FROM WALES

Updated: Sep 15, 2020

Even though I don't know if you are still there...complete uncertainty, I'll pretend that you are, fully engaged and ready for work...as I used to do in class.

Today you will try Reading Part 3 from PET exam.

1. Go to page 144 form your books, Citizen Z B1. Read about Tan-y-bryn Outdoor Adventure Centre and do exercise 1 in your notebook.

The name TAN-Y-BRYN is Welsh and literally translates as 'under the hill' meaning beneath the brow of the hill.

Welsh is a Celtic language and it comes from Wales, a beautiful country and it is one of the four that make up the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Studying Welsh is compulsory in Welsh schools, like Catalan in Catalonya.

2. Now listen to the recording twice and do exercise 2 Listening Multiple Choice.

3. Know more about Wales. Explore this website and make a picture of the main emblems of Wales in your notebook. This is all, folks! Thanks!
