Of all the places I've been to, Australia is definitely my favourite. Everything is different! Did you know that even water swirls differently?! Water drains clockwise in Australia while in the northern hemisphere it swirls counterclockwise. As the Earth spins on its axis, it pulls water in different directions depending on where you are.
We can see this in nature with hurricanes: while the south’s cyclones whip clockwise...
...in the northern hemisphere they whip counterclockwise. Awesome!
Something else that surprised me a lot was the amount of different animal species, many of which were marsupials.
